The Women's Empowerment Program

The Women's Empowerment Program is a powerful 3-day-training that uses meaningful activities and current psychology research to enhance the capacity of women to become sensitive leaders of their families and their communities.

Through our workshops, we offer knowledge and tools to reinforce women's sense of pride and confidence in themselves, their families and their community.

In this training, we review child emotional development during each stage of their development. We focus on how to:

  • Reset the nervous system and self-regulate
  • Act in a crisis to benefit themselves and their families
  • Communicate and strengthen your relationship with others
  • Strengthen awareness and sense of purpose in life
  • Design goals and a life plan

This program is based on Attachment Theory, Theories of Complex Trauma, Mentalization Techniques, the Nonviolent Communication Model and Relational Psychoanalysis.

The Women's Empowerment Program was first offered in Wundanyi, Kenya in September 2022 to 45 low-income (single and married) mothers managing challenging family situations at home.
