• Mindfulness Meditation for Relaxing the Body and Mind: For stress reduction, present moment awareness of the body and mind naturally bring a sense of wholeness and peace.
• Mindfulness Meditation for Increasing Energy Level: Overwork and sleep deprivation deplete our energy resources. Mindfulness of energy level in meditation restores energy resources and increases awareness of what and who depletes us in daily life.
Eleanor Graves is the director of Equanimity Yoga, which brings yoga to the workplace with weekly classes in conference rooms and lobbies. She has been practicing yoga and meditation for over fifteen years and completed the Yoga Works Teacher Training program in 2006. Her yoga practice is also informed by the teachings of BKS Iyengar, which emphasize knowledge of anatomy and joint alignment. • Yoga to Balance Your Energy: This one-hour yoga session will explore how to let go and relax in the midst of great activity. We will learn simple breath work and use it to gently focus our attention on the poses. We will practice how to make basic poses more restorative or more rigorous by listening to our individual physical needs. Throughout the class we will look at the relationship between steady, even breathing and a steady, even mind. This is a good class for beginners (and very beginners!) and people already practicing with yoga who want to develop a home practice
